A wedding here is closer to a house party than a production. What the house offers is the rooms it already has — the parlor, the bar, the hall with the staircase in it. Which room takes the ceremony, which takes the drinks and which sits down to dinner is a conversation we have with you, not a floor plan we print.
Twenty-two rooms across the house and the building beside it, so the people who matter most stay where the party was and come down to breakfast in the morning. Adults only, 21 and up, throughout the house.

One table, one kitchen. The food comes from Culinary Director Jacques Larson, a two-time James Beard nominee, and it is the same kitchen that cooks breakfast to order every morning and runs Lester's next door.
There is no set menu on this page and no per-head figure, because neither is written until we know the date, the number and what you actually like to eat. That conversation is the first thing that happens.
Twenty-two rooms and one front desk. A group can take a floor — the second and third floors are five rooms each, reached by stairs or elevator. A group can also take the lot, and then the parlor, the bar and the hall belong to your weekend rather than to whoever happened to book.
Nobody in the hall you did not invite. Adults only, 21 and up. Rates move with the season, the weekend and the holiday, so we would rather quote you than guess in public.
The Bar is reserved for guests of The Douglas and open 2pm to 10pm daily, and most nights of the year that is exactly who is standing in it: dark panelling, a bottle wall, a fire lit, seven house cocktails and five zero-proof ones at the same price, because the work is the same.
An evening with the room to yourselves is the exception rather than the offer. Ask, and the answer will depend on the date and on who else is staying.
