Breakfast, on the house
Lowcountry shrimp and grits, bagel and lox, Anson Mills Thirteen Colony waffles, cooked to order when you come down, never held under a lamp. Chef Jacques Larson is a two-time James Beard nominee, and it shows.
Twenty of the twenty-two are published here. The last two arrive with the 2026 expansion and are not yet described — the front desk can tell you where they stand.
Choose by temperament, a courtyard view, top-floor light, or a soaking tub, and if you want a massage, it comes to the room. Check your dates early: the keys go quickly in the pretty months.
The Suites offer the most expansive experience within The Douglas, with apartment-style accommodations located in a separate building adjacent to the main house. Designed for guests intending to stay a little longer, spread out a little more, or simply settle into Savannah at their own pace, the collection features generous layouts, wet bars, and a distinctly residential feel throughout.
The 2026 expansion adds six guest rooms and takes the house to twenty-two. Four of them are the East Building suites, three with a dedicated living room. Set above Lester's, with no shared spaces in the building, the experience leans quieter, more private. Close, but distinctly its own.
See the four suitesTwo pairs adjoin. Room Nine adjoins Room Ten on the second floor, and Room Fourteen adjoins Room Fifteen on the third. Each room keeps its own front door, so a group can take a floor together while still having their own front doors.
Five rooms in the main house list a bathtub among their in-room amenities: Room Five on the main floor, Rooms Seven and Ten on the second floor, and Rooms Twelve and Fifteen on the third. If a soaking tub is the point of the trip, ask the desk when you book.
There is an elevator: the second and third floors are accessible by stairs or elevator. Room Four is our ADA-accessible room, located on the ground floor and filled with light. Its soft palette and coastal ease give the space a breezy and welcoming feel.
Two. Every room in the main house has a king bed and is set for two guests. The Douglas is adults only, 21 and up. The East Building suites are apartment-style and larger; their bed configurations are not published yet, so ask the front desk.
Not inside each room, but on every floor you'll find a thoughtfully stocked complimentary mini bar with cold beverages, snacks, and essentials to make you feel at home. Think of it as your neighborhood pantry down the hall, help yourself, anytime.
We don't offer traditional room service. The Douglas is designed more like a private residence than a conventional hotel, so instead you'll find inviting common areas, our bar, and our stocked floor pantries for a quick grab-and-go.
